BES & Security Related FAQ
Q:
I am using BlackBerry device which covered by
BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) network. What
should I do to make my BlackBerry works with
BlueKeyboard?
Please contact your BES administrator to configure
the BES setting. Detail information on how to
configure the BES is explained
inside the user manual.
Q:
I constantly get the 'Injector API' error. What
this error means?
It
means your BlackBerry device covered by BES network
or your device has security profile built-in that
deny the keyboard keystroke.
Please read above answer.
Q:
Is this 'Injector API' policy configuration on
BES your company's custom policy?
No, it is BlackBerry own policy. BlueKeyboard was
designed to follow BlackBerry policy.

API' policy. Can you show me more information about
this policy?
Please visit this BlackBerry site
http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/
and do search for ‘KB-04219?
Q: My Blackberry 7100/7130/8700 is not
connected to a BES but I still receive 'Injector
API' error; what should I do?
Please do steps below on your handheld (step by
step may varies depend on device model):
1. Select [Options] from main menu
2. Open [Advance Options\Applications\Modules]
or
[Security
Options\Permissions]
3. Highlight [BlueKeyboard_US]
application
4. Select [Edit Permissions]
5. Expand (+) [Interactions]
6.
Change the
setting for “Keystroke Injection?from [Deny]
to [Allow]
7.
Exit and save the settings
Q: My installation
fails with the message "The following modules could
not be loaded because their digital signatures were
invalid. BlueKeyboard_US.cod".
This could be due to security blocks on your
Blackberry that were inserted by your device
supplier. The security blocks prevents additional
software installation onto your pre-formatted
Blackberry system. You have to contact your device
supplier to remove the security block. (Thanks to
Peter Hudson - CSIRO Molecular and Health
Technologies - Australia)
